== History ==
Alexandra is of Zimbabwean (Shona), French (Acadian), and American Indian (Mi'kmaq) descent, and was raised in part in rural Zimbabwe. She is President and co-founder of the Kijana Project (formerly Assisting AIDS Orphans), and was the first female of color—as well as the youngest person in history—to compete on the Zimbabwean National Artistic Gymnastics Team. (the official magazine of the NAACP), as well as on ''CNN'' news. She is also an accomplished ballerina, having performed with companies in Oregon, California, and North Carolina.
