Booba is the stage name of Elie Yaffa (born December 9, 1976) is rapper from Boulogne-Billancourt, a commune in the western suburbs of Paris. He is of Senegalese and French descent.
== Background ==
Born in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Booba quickly got influenced by the US hip-hop scene at the end of the 1980s and beginning of the 1990s. With his pal Ali, also from Issy-les-Moulineaux (Hauts-de-Seine), they started the rap group Lunatic, under which name they recorded several mixtapes. In 2000, they released their first and only album: ''Mauvais Œil'' under the record label 45 Scientific. The album was a success and was quickly recognized as a classic in this music field.Source: Wikipedia
