Good Charlotte is an American band from Waldorf, Maryland that formed in 1996. They took their name from the children's book called ''"Good Charlotte: The Girls of Good Day Orphanage,"'' written by Carol Beach York.
The members of the band are identical twin brothers Joel Madden (lead vocals and rhythm guitar) and Benji Madden (rhythm guitar and backing vocals); Billy Martin (lead guitar, keyboards), Paul Thomas (bass guitar) and Dean Butterworth (drums)Source: Wikipedia
