Hollywood Undead is a rap rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2005. It originated from the members' MySpace profile which they filled with pictures of themselves in hockey masks.

The band originated in 2005 from a song titled "The Kids" that Deuce and J-Dog posted on the band's MySpace profile to positive reviews, leading them to form the group Hollywood Undead with their friends Shady Jeff, Johnny 3 Tears, Charlie Scene, Funny Man, Da Kurlzz and Deuce. In an interview with ''Shave'' magazine, J-Dog explained that when forming the band "Whoever was in the room at the time and played an instrument was in the band." An instrumental version of"Undead" is also featured in a trailer for the movie ''G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra''. Also, an instrumental version of their song "Young" is featured as the backtrack to an April 2009 cinematic trailer for ''Velvet Assassin'' - a video game developed for the Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.Source: Wikipedia
