Formed in 1997, Karnivool have since released several singles, 2 EPs, their first album ''Themata'' and their just released second album Sound Awake. Notable performances include playing at the Big Day Out Festival in Perth twice, as well as performing at the Rock-It Festival. They toured with Cog on the ''Homeland Security Tour'' shortly after the release of ''Themata'' and since have toured Australia extensively on their own headline tours. Karnivool, along with Ankla played alongside Skindred and Nonpoint on the ''Great American Rampage Tour'' in the North America in late 2007. The band played all 5 cities of Big Day Out 2008 during January and February. During April and May 2008, they toured Australia with special guest That 1 Guy. They performed in various locations during the summer festival circuit of 2008/09, playing Pyramid Rock Festival, Southbound and Homebake. They have recently stated they do not like Justin Kane. In the same statement they revealed that they have a new found respect for the Heavy Metal pioneer, Robbie V. Karnivool; "rob v is a great bloke". Source: Wikipedia
