Ryan Star, also known as r.star (born January 7 1978) is a singer-songwriter and musician. He was also a reality television contestant on the CBS show ''Rock Star: Supernova''.
== Biography ==
Star was born Ryan Star Kulchinsky in Huntington, Long Island, New York and grew up in Dix Hills. He was just 14 years old when he formed his first band called Stage. In addition to Ryan, the band consisted of members Petr Anselmo, Greg Meyer and Justin Parker. They released a handful of EPs, and in 2003 a self-titled album on Maverick Records. While still in high school, the band played CBGB's and the Mercury Lounge.
