Monday, August 11th, 2008
Alright so you're staying up late hooked up to the TV watching the Olympics or perhaps watching the live feeds online, whether this is you or not we thought of getting you in the mood for some singing and recording therefore we bring you the official version of Beijing 2008 song: "Forever Friends."
The lyrics of “Forever Friends” , which is recorded in English, read, "Forever friends in harmony/As the whole world joins and sees days of unity and peace/Forever through the years we'll hear the cheers/Joy and laughter everywhere/ We're together here to share/ Forever friends." Needless to say, this is a song of unity, harmony and fair play. Don't you feel that warm fuzzy feeling after reading them? Apparently, out of 30 contestant songs this one was selected by the Olympic Committee to be the official song for Beijing 2008.
The architects of the official Beijing Olympic song, "Forever Friends" were internationally renowned Chinese artistes Sun Nan and Coco Lee. The song was composed by Giorgio Moroder, who also composed 'Reach Out', the official song for Los Angeles 1984 Olympics. In addition, Moroder's resume includes Seoul 1988's 'Hand in Hand' and 'Un'estate Italiana' for the 1990 football World Cup.
So if you're feeling the Olympic spirit and are all fired up for the US olympic team we invite you to sing and record "Forever Friens." Go USA!

Alright so if you're into the Beijing Olympics 2008 then you'll be jazzed to hear that everyone's favorite American Olympic swimmer turned-model Amanda Beard is switching styles, going from breaststroke to freestyle…do you get it? Yeah, she's actually showing it all (kinda) on a PETA ad against the use of fur. Amanda is joining the ranks of other Hollywood celebs such as Pamela Anderson, Eva Mendes and Alicia Silverstone in supporting PETA.
OMG! You can't miss this party! The multimillonaire hotel heiress and socialite Paris Hilton is talking politics (oil dependency, taxes, hybrid technologies, energy policy, new jobs, etc. Promises, promises, promises! And we thought Paris Hilton and presidential candidate John McCain were BFFs (best friends forever). Are you kidding me? Apparently, she's like totally ready to lead. By the way, this spoof comes as a full fledged response ad to the McCain commercial dismissing Barack Obama as a Paris Hilton style of celebrity. And now an important message from Paris Hilton…
And Madonna doesn't seem to stop innovating. For those of you who enjoy the the dance/club scene, the audio CD remix version of Madonna's "Give it me" was released yesterday. Not that this is a new creation of the pop queen, as a matter of fact, "Give it to me" was actually part of the "Hard Candy" previous release last April.
John Mayer is quite busy nowadays with a pretty tight schedule of his Summer Tour across America. From Milwaukee to West Palm Beach, Mayer continues earning the hearts and minds of fans and critics demonstrating nationwide why he's such a talented multi-Grammy Award winning platinum selling singer and songwriter.
So speaking of performances, votes, we want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the work done by some of Red Karaoke artists. This group of individuals has exceeded expectations and risen to the top of the rankings with practice and hard work. It goes to show that if you feel like you really can't sing, then you need to know that everyone does have the ability to sing well. In fact, it has been scientifically established that singing in a learned 'art'. In other words, it is acquired earlier in life by some people who seem to 'have an ability'. But it's not so - if you keep practicing you'll get better at it and eventually you'll be able to sing in tune and in time.
