So Jessica Simpson is back with the release of the deluxe edition two CD set titled "Do You Know". This has been a highly anticipated Coutry album and 'Come on Over' the first single was actually written by Jessica, Rachel Proctor, and Victoria Banks.
"Do You Know" was produced by Grammy® Award winning songwriter Brett James (Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts) and famed producer John Shanks (Alanis Morissette, Bon Jovi, Keith Urban). Without a doubt Jessica Simpson knows who to partner with.

In fact the title track, "Do You Know," was written by one of Jessica's musical idols, Dolly Parton. "Come on Over" another single that made its debut on the Country charts as the Hot shot back in June at number 41 actually topped Keith Urban’s new one at number 42.
As to why the change in musical direction to Country, Jessica was quoted saying, "In country, it's really different. People really care about the music and the lyrics and why you wrote it because they can relate to". And in regards to her erstwhile pop status, Jessica stated that she wasn't really a pop trendsetter. "I was trying to keep up with the trends," she said. "I finally found where I'm supposed to be." Good luck to you Jessica.

I’ve never been a huge Jessica Simpson fan but her country album is actually pretty good. It will be fun to see her open up for Rascal Flatts on their tour.
