In Honor of Paul Newman
Today's entry is dedicated to the memory and legacy of Paul Newman who passed away last Mondayat the age of 83. An Academy Award winner and seven time Academy Award nominated actor, Newman was also a film director, entrepreneur, humanitarian and auto racing enthusiast. He was awarded with an Oscar for his performance in the classic Scorsesse's film "The Color of Money" in 1986.
As a philantropist, reportedly Newman donated all post-tax profits and royalties to charity from his company Newman's Own. In fact, as of May 2007, these donations had exceeded US$220 million. Newman, one of the most highly esteemed Hollywood actors has undoubtedly left his mark. Robert Redford, a long-time friend was quoted saying, "there is a point where feelings go beyond words. I have lost a real friend. My life — and this country — is better for his being in it." Also, Newman's daughters put out a statement saying, "our father was a rare symbol of selfless humility, the last to acknowledge what he was doing was special."
So as we say good-bye to Paul Newman, we honor his memory by bringing you B J Thomas' "Raindrops keep falling on my head", a song written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach for the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, one of Newman's classic films. RIP Mr. Newman!

The theme from the movie of the same name. Starring Paul Newman and I think Eva Marie Saint and a host of others. Paul died just the other day….MHDSRIP! A sad loss to the world. He was a great philanthropist as well as a brilliant actor.
See (or should I say listen to the theme song by yours truly)
May his dear soul rest in peace…….
