David Cook Releases First Album on Nov. 18
These are definitely good times for those of you who are fans of American Idol season 2008 winner David Cook. The young star is set to release his self-titled debut album on November 18th, 2008. His first studio album has been produced by Grammy winning Rob Cavallo (Soungarden and Kid Rock), David Cook is a quality album full with radio hits. For this debut album Cook co-wrote 9 songs next to acclaimed songwriters like Chris Cornell, Brian Howes & Cathy Dennis. The 1st single “Light On” was co-written by one of rock music’s most influential innovators, Chris Cornell, lead singer and songwriter for Soundgarden and Audioslave.
Recently, David Cook scored his biggest gig so far in his career. He was the musical guest at Saturday Night Live. Cook sang two songs from his debut album “David Cook,” which comes out on Nov. 18: the first single, “Light On” and then the album’s first track, “Declaration” As for his appearance on SNL, Cook said, “I’m still a goober from the Midwest. Now I’ve just got a few more resources. I don’t feel like the show changed me at all.”
So it seems like this guy is staying grounded and has been working hard since he won American Idol back in January. In fact, some bloggers have been saying that perhaps he’s been working too hard 24/7 and that his voice sounded a bit ‘fatigue’ during the SNL cameo.
Regardless, David Cook is a talented young artist with a lot of runway and an inspiring figure to a lot of people so we thought of bringing you some karaoke tracks for you to rock on. So grab the mic and start singing to the music of “Declaration” and “Time of My Life”. So what do you think do you like David’s music? Drop us a line below.
