Nickelback is Back with “Dark Horse”
How can these guys be the ‘dark horses’ of the rock n’ roll family when they have sold over 26 million albums worlwide? If anything, they should be the golden horses. And indeed they are. For their legions of fans these are great times since Nickelback is releasing the new studio album “Dark Horse”. The anticipated release of the band sixth studio album containing 11 tracks has caused a deal of reviews and high expectations. After all, Nickelback is considered one of the biggest rock band in the world.
For those of you trivia freaks the band’s name Nickelback originated from the nickel in change that band member Mike Kroeger gave customers at his Starbucks job. Kroeger would frequently say, “Here’s your nickel back”. And voila the name stuck. Their most recent work is co-produced by the band and Mutt Lange, known for having previously worked with acts such as AC/DC, Bryan Adams and Def Leppard.
Even has Walmart has joined the fanfare and craze about the new release by featuring a Walmart edition of “Dark Horse.” The edition actually comes with a link to download an MP3 from their performance on Walmart Soundcheck. You might be wondering…geez Walmart? Are they going mainstream? Hopefully not. I guess the jury is still out on “Dark Horse”. But hey we’d like to hear from you. That is if you already have listened to some of the tracks. But if not, we invite you to do some Nickelback recording with our Nickelback special karaoke section with tracks such as: Far away, Figured you out, Hero, How you remind me, and Saving me.
