Britney’s ‘Circus’ to Release on Dec. 2
Alright, so a lot has been said and commented on Britney Spears but let me tell you something she's a fighter and resilient and I am proud of her. She's about to release Circus, her seventh album. Let's not forget that recently she kicked butt at MTV VMA awards, where she actually walked away with three Moonmen awards for 'Video of the Year', 'Best Female' and 'Best Pop Video' for 'Piece Of Me'.
So yeah Britney Spears is back with “Circus” and she is releasing it on her b-day, December 2 just in in time for her 27th birthday. One of the tracks 'Womanizer' has already spurred a frenzy among fans, critics and media. No doubt about it this new production can bring back Britney to the spotlight as one of the Queens of Pop.
In fact, she's been all over the place recently. On October 15, the "Womanizer" track made it to the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking the record set by T.I.'s Live Your Life. It also garnered first-week download sales of 286,000, the biggest opening-week tally by a female artist since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital downloads in 2003. It marked Spears's first number one single on the Hot 100 since her debut with "Baby One More Time." And on November 6, 2008, Spears won two awards at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2008, "Album of The Year" for Blackout and "Act of 2008", and despite not being present, two acceptance videos were taped and shown at the show. So yeah I think we're actually witnessing the resurgence of the "Queen of Pop." No offense Madonna or Cristina, we still have a soft spot for you.
But that's not all. MTV will be releasing on November 30 a documentary titled "Britney: For the Record" two days before the actual release of 'Circus'. And there are rumors that right after the release she'll be embarking upon a concert tour series. We're glad things are working out for you Britney. Come on you guys! She's been through a lot in her private life and deserves all the kudos for pulling herself through. Way to go Britney!
