“Soul” is sixth studio album for Seal
It is not enough that Nigerian-born Seal has one of the best voices in the music industry but he apparently has also a great personality and yes, he is married to supermodel Heidi Klum. I know what you guys are thinking. What a lucky guy! Hey, you know what they say, some guys have all the luck.
'Soul' is the title of the sixth studio album from multiplatinum selling, Grammy-winning, critically acclaimed Seal. The album is really a compilation of soul classics, from Sam Cooke's 'A Change Is Gonna Come', Ben E. King's 'Stand By Me', and Ann Pebbles' 'I Can't Stand The Rain' to Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes 'If You Don't Know Me By Now' and Otis Redding's 'I've Been Loving You Too Long'. In this ocassion, Seal's new album was produced by David Foster. Foster has worked in the past with artists such as Céline Dion, Barbra Streisand and Michael Bolton.
The album was actually released on November 11, 2008 in the United States and on November 3, 2008 internationally. Although the majority of the tracks on "Soul" have been re-interpreted before by many artists the new "Soul" contains more of a different flavor with a sense of euro sophistication that makes it refreshing compared to previous versions.
Let's not forget this guy has over 15 million album sales and three Grammy Awards under his belt with classics such as "Crazy", "Fly Like an Eagle", "Kiss From a Rose", and "Love's Divine." I am sure he definitely brings some soulful reinterpretations of some big ole classics. So let's give Seal a chance. What do you think?
