“The Boss” Returns
Yes, "The Boss" is making a comeback with a new album that is ready to hit the record stores on January 27, 2009. Bruce Springsteen new production is titled. "Working on a Dream". So, the hype is building up. In fact, last week, viewers were enable to download for free a song from Bruce Springsteen's upcoming album. On December 28, Amazon made available the download of "Life Itself" for free but only for a day.
Prior to Christmas, "The Boss" kept himself busy by giving a sort of Bruce Springsteen's 2008 Christmas show as he played with Jon Bon Jovi, Southside Johnny, Gary U.S. Bonds and Nicole Atkins at the Hope Show at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank. Critics and fans agree that "The Boss" looks great and performing well 'jumping around the stage, leaping with the guitar, working all sides of the stage and smiling throughout.'
Springsteen has received a Golden Globe Nomination for the song "The Wrestler" in the category of Best Original Song - Motion Picture. "The Wrestler" is the title song of the movie with Mickey Rourke on screens now. So you never know "The Wrestler" might even be in the run for an Academy Award nomination. So you get an idea of Springsteen's competition, here they are:

Who would have thought? Bruce Springsteen competing against Beyonce Knowles and Miley Cyrus. Ok, I am not going to say anything. Nonetheless, Springsteen is no stranger to the Golden Globes. He won a Golden Globe for his song "Streets of Philadelphia" from the movie "Philadelphia" in 1993. So, we wish "The Boss" good luck with the new album and in the Golden Globes. BTW, for those of you who can't wait to see Springsteen back in action. He and the E Street Band will take the field for the Super Bowl XLIII Halftime Show next February 1. Alright, gotta split now.
