Muse: SMBH Karaoke Debut
So the alternative rock Brit band Muse has been making recently major inroads partly due to the selection of one of its tracks in the teen blocksbuter Twilight Soundtrack album. Although they do not enjoy the stardom and popularity of other bands from across the pond, Muse has won in the past five MTV Europe Music Awards, five Q Awards, four NMEs and two BRIT awards. So, yeah they are actually big in Europe
Muse is composed of Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme, Dominic Howard who came together as a band back in the early 90’s. So yeah these guys have actually been around for a while. Muse has so far put out 4 albums and is apparently working on a 5th one. On an on-air interview with the BBC’s 6music, Howard said, “We’re working on new stuff and we’re gonna have a couple of weeks off and then in about two weeks time we’re back out to Italy to start writing again”. He also added, “We’ve already done a few tracks and it sounds great, so we’re just working towards the future”.
But the album that has so far allowed to get the best bang for their buck in the U.S. was Black Holes & Revelations. The album was released officially in North America in 2006. Black Holes & Revelations charted at No. 1 in the UK, much of Europe, and Australia. As for the U.S. the album reached the No. 9 position in the Billboard 200 album chart.
So, here we bring you the karaoke debut of Supermassive Black Hole, the track included in the Soundtrack of the Twilight. For those of you who don’t remember this is the song used in the film’s baseball scene. BTW, we also have “Starlight” and “Time is Running Out” for you to give it a try. So get off your butt and grab the mic and start singing that the weekend goes by fast. Ciao.
