Jessica Simpson Back on Top
Rumor has it that she's done her lips. That they are a lot juicier. Did she have a nose job? A breast reduction? Way too many rumors, some more credible than others but the fact remains that every time the 28 year old singer-actress is sighted by the paparazzi she makes the news. As for her recent move to the country genre, Simpson's new single "Come on Over" has been referred by the Billboard Country Singles Chart as the “Highest Solo Charting Debut.”
No doubts about it. In fact, her "Do You Know" album debuted #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart in both the US and Canada. With this album, Simpson actually got her first #1 album of her career. And it wasn't in the Pop category but Country. “I’m extremely touched by the overwhelmingly positive response to the album,” Jessica said of the chart. “There is so much honesty and raw emotion in there. And, I’m just thrilled that country fans are giving it a chance!”
As for what she's up to now, Jessica Simpson is kicking off a tour opening up for the Rascal Flatts on their "Bob That Head Tour." The tour starts in Kansas City and will consist of over 20 shows ending on March 14, 2009 in Irvine, California. But Jessica is not a one-trick pony, recently she's made some commercial inroads launching a line of hair and beauty products on the Home Shopping Network. Simpson also designs and markets a line of handbags and (primarily high-heeled) shoes and boots. She also plans to design lingerie including bras, panties, sleepwear and daywear. So, yeah we can say that music is just the tip of the iceberg. It's what is underneath that brings in the big bucks.
Alright, so it goes without saying that we're happy to bring Jessica's first single from her debut album "Sweet Kisses". "I Wanna Love You Forever" is her debut single and was released in 1999. This is one of Jessica Simpson signature songs, and one of her most successful single in the United States to date. Whatcha waiting for? Start singing.
