This is a song that almost never saw the light of day in popular culture. Written by Rodgers and Hart in 1939 for "Pal Joey" on Broadway. A battle between ASCAP and the radio industry in 1940, and a musicians strike in 1941, the song was forgotten. When "Pal Joey" was made into a movie in 1947, people finally heard the song.
