Hi Silent: Thank you so much for you comment. Dutch is my first language. We came to Canada shortly after the war when I was 14 and had to learn English then. I want to wish you a Merry Christmas an a Happy New Year. I keep listening to your recordings. Roland...
(I find recording on this site is not easy, in fact it won't work for me at all anymore)

Hallo Rolland, why don't you try just recording via MP3? Like i do now. I found the orginal direct singing a bit stressy as so often mistakes in the karaoke and of course you cannot stop in the middle of it. Doing it at home with audacity or cool edit pro2 is far easier. And then downloading as MP3. Much more fun - please try it! Will write my comment about dutch in second comment as no room here.

Hallo mijn vriend,
My mother is polish, but she and her parents lived in Germany. At the age of two my mother left me with my grandparents here for almost three years. England was in ruins just after the war and she thought better until she and my father found their feet. I later started school in english, unable to speak a word of my own language. So i know about learning another language! Interesting reading a little about your life and experience Roland. All best wishes my friend.
